The perimeter structure of the door is made of solid wood, but not fir like most doors on the market. Spruce is a wood with unsightly knots and is therefore coated with papers or laminates. We prefer to use knot-free, more resistant and high-performance woods such as lime and kotó, which have about four times the density. This allows us to have the edge visible without having to apply a coating that is prone to peeling off over time. This also benefits the hinges, which, with their stronger construction, provide better hold and stability.
